What DeviantArt?
DeviantArt is an online community of artists and aspiring artists on the Internet.
So register if ...
- Are you a photographer;
- Are you a graphic;
- Create graphics resources for graphics software;
- You are an artist (painter, draftsman, etc. ...);
- Make use of graphics and want to stay updated on the latest news from the world of web design.
- You all these things together and want to combine your passions, the ability to keep a small embedded in your blog or personal page;
Before registering keep in mind that ...
1) DeviantArt is a site entirely in English, and if you do not know the language, it can be difficult to manage;
2) The fact that it is in English also means you must somehow use the language when you describe your works or where, as we shall see in the next tutorial, you decide to write an article in the "journal" (ie your blog). Very often, some artists write the tutorial in their own language and is they specifically requested to do so in English, now lingua franca of communication.
3) You have the ability to create a free account, or a paid account (as a result of which, you get a range of benefits).
4) Becoming famous DeviantArt is a rare and unique company, but be careful not to give the "spam compulsive." There are some ways to make themselves visible to which I will talk later.
5) You can cover your work with Creative Commons license, not a small thing.
Let's talk about the terminology used in this online community ...
- dA: Abbreviation for DeviantArt;
- Deviant: User DeviantArt;
- Submission and Deviation: the first is the ' work entered in deviantart but in the form of "draft" is not final, the second is the work inserted in deviantart and found complete and finalized by the deviant.
You can even sell your work on DeviantArt ...
Although the registration fee becomes available the opportunity to sell their Deviations , only 10% of the proceeds from the sale comes to the artist. DeviantART for this gives an opportunity for artists to sell their works through a special account, called Print Account. Through the account, you can sell their Deviations getting 50% of the proceeds. This type of subscription, however, can only be headed to an adult.
