Lately I've encountered problems when recording audio through the built-in microphones on my laptop HP Pavilion dv6000, consisting of a strong background buzz is in moments of silence than in speech.
mistakenly thinking the problem was caused by the built-in microphones (not new; whatever it is integrated with an HP Pavilion series dv6xxx is a mystery, and suddenly stops working), to mediate, I bought an external microphone, the Logitech Desktop Microphone UBS .
course, to my regret, I find that the background noise persists (which does not happen in the my computer, a landline).
Investigating assistance in the forums I found nothing. No one with his beautiful HP Pavilion has solved the thing. But I managed this morning we are here is what I did in a few easy steps.
1 - I updated the sound drivers;
In my case I went to this link, I tried the model of my pc, and then I downloaded and installed the drivers: http://welcome.hp.com/country/it/it/support.html .
2 - I plugged in my microphone (its drivers are installed automatically without the need for CDs or external media).
3 - I went to "Control Panel" - "Audio" - "Registration" screen which is presented to the two devices. One is called "Microphone - USB Speakers" the second "Conexant ..." (or something like that, I do not remember the name because I "removed" the device). In practice I have followed this procedure:
a-clicking on "Conexant ..." I choose "Properties" and "General" below I set "Use Device: Do not use this device (disable)." (Automatically has removed the device ... I do not know how to restore it but doing nothing, given the problems that caused me).
b-clicking on "Microphone - USB Speakers" - "Properties" - "General" "I set down the" Use Device: Use this device (enable) ". Then more in the "Properties" choosing "Layers" I set volume 50.
So, apparently, I solved my problem. Try it and if there was helpful let me know.
