Personal Statement - Uni application
As requested by you today we will talk about the much-feared Personal Statement, required for enrollment in one by UCAS. If you do not know what click here , this is the web page of the UCAS website that gives advice to students on how to write the statement, then that is nothing more than a theme. Page
UCAS is a very good starting point for understanding how to write and what to include.
I highly recommend you to read what is written on the site and then maybe look at other pages where you do see examples, just to get a better idea on how to write it.
One piece of advice I can give you is ABSOLUTELY not to copy from the Internet or other statements that are online. You should know that everything that is sent to UCAS passing through a system called TurnITin UK (later also used by universities) that controls whether what you wrote was copied from the Internet or from previous statements. This system has access to many sites and has on file all the statements of previous years.
initially did not believe it, but once arrived al'uni made us see how this system is used, and I assure you that use it. If the percentage of material copied is greater than a certain percentage of your request will be canceled, then it's worth it to do it without copying, perhaps taking inspiration only.
This is a free site with examples of statements grouped by subjects. Because obviously changes a lot of matter to matter what you write.
Basically you have to say why you think you are the right candidates to follow the course and college. One piece of advice I give is not to list your features, but the accompanying examples. And any such right. Type you could say that people who are very clerical though fail in all subjects. Or use school as examples, eg the fact that you were class representatives, to show that you are so resourceful.
Another thing I am telling you is that you can swell a little things, not of lying but only exaggerating a bit:) so do not check that for sure! Obviously
check spelling and grammar! perhaps ask help from a teacher to be checked because it can be written who knows, but if the reader does not understand there's no sense ...
I recommend you to read the new page UCAS (see link at the top of the post) and if you have other questions ask!
